ALCOHOL RELATED ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

If you witness any anti-social behaviour which is alcohol related please telephone the Police – on 999 if you consider it to be an emergency, or 0345 456 456 4.  It is very important that you do this because this village has an Order in place which allows Police to take alcohol away from people behaving in an anti-social manner.  This Order is reviewed every year and there is pressure to revoke it.  If this happens the Parish Council believes that we shall see a return to the bad behaviour in the centre of the village which we saw a few years ago.  If you wish your village to remain free of this behaviour the Parish Council needs your help – we cannot do it without you.

The Police record all such calls and that way they will see the evidence that the Order should be retained.  We often hear people say “It’s no good ringing the Police because they won’t come.”  This may or may not be true, but if you get an incident number your call will be recorded and will count as evidence.
