POLICY FOR

CHARITABLE DONATIONS

1 The yearly budget for charitable donations should be determined by the Parish Council prior to setting the precept.

2 To qualify for a donation an organisation/individual should meet the following criteria:-

· Be of direct benefit to the village

· Be a village based organisation or village resident (the donation would be to

further progress but not to start or set it up)

· Be for a specific purpose

3 The following situations would not attract a donation:-

· Where a yearly request is made

· Where a request is made for more than one year

· Where a request us for unbudgeted expenses for village societies and clubs

· Where such a donation may replace fund-raising activities.
