Vacancy for the Clerk of the Bar Hill Parish Council

Pay rate: £24,982 to £28,672 subject to qualifications and experience
Weekly Hours: 37 Hours
Hours of work: 9AM-5PM – Including two evening meetings a month each lasting approximately 3 hours.
Qualifications: Demonstrates strong administrative experience, CiLCA qualification (or to be willing to work towards the qualification)
Length of Contract: Permanent
Main duties of the job:
Ensure that the Council conducts its business lawfully
Administer all the Council’s paperwork
Ensure that meeting papers are properly prepared, issued to members and ensure the public is aware of meetings
Communicate the Council’s decisions.
Organise and manage the provision of the Council services.
Organise and oversee the implementation of projects.
Manage and lead the staff
Communicate and promote the Council services and facilities
Keep property registers and other legal documents
Holiday entitlement: 22 days increasing to 25 days after 5 years of continuous service, plus 2 extra statutory days plus 8 public holidays.
Place of work: Bar Hill Parish Council Office – Flexible working is an option.
